You
don't realise how dependant you are on something when it is no longer
available, this is exactly how we felt when our bath thermometer broke.
We
had our previous bath thermometer for a year almost when the battery
needed replaced, I got Jordan to replace it but it turned out the old
battery had leaked and it was making the LED part go bonkers!
We
went a couple of weeks without our trusty thermometer, but it was a
hard task. We had relied on it so much that we could no longer tell how
hot hot was and when it was too cold for little Elliott.
Even using all the tricks that we were advised - the elbow in the water etc but we still couldn't tell!
We must have been giving out some distress signals as the lovely people at Good Life Guide asked if we would like to test out their Floating Bath Temperature and Alarm Clock, I practially thanked them in capital letters and explained to them that this colab couldn't have come at a better time!
We were very surprised at how quickly the Floating Bath Temperature (£11.99)(*) arrived at our door, and you all know how I like speedy deliveries!
We
opened it up to see that not only was it a floating bath thermometer it
doubles as a standing waterproof clock too! We don't have a clock in
the bathroom so this is a perfect addition!
Setting
the thermometer up was the simplest thing ever, I expected it to boggle
my mind as I'm not too good when it comes to technology (god knows how I
managed to set up a blog!) The clock setting has an AM and PM setting.
Simply use the buttons at the side to select the correct time and that
it!
You
can easily switch between the clock and thermometer with one simple
click of a button - perfect for checking how long you've been stewing in
the bath! haha! The great thing about the Floating Bath Temperature and Alarm Clock is that as soon as it hits the water it will automatically switch to the temperature setting.
The
thermometer clearly displays the temperature of the bath water,
flashing when it gets too hot! So no more panicking that we are putting
Elliott into a hotter than normal bath! I don't think we ever did to be
honest but it was in the back of my mind for sure!
The
one thing I would say is that it doesn't float that much - I mean it
doesn't sink to the bottom, its just if you have bubbles in the water
you will be searching for the thermometer! Our old one floated quite
high and the temperature could be seen even with bubbles.
Overall
we love having the Floating Bath Temperature and Alarm Clock
in our bathroom, I never knew how much I check the time while in the
bathroom! We can now put our minds at rest and enjoy bath times with the
perfect temperature!
